What do you do at PGAdesign?
Every day varies. PGAdesign has quite the range in projects, so some days I’m helping create construction documents for affordable housing and other days I’m doing a streetscape planting design. There’s never a dull moment.
Where did you go to school?
I received my BLA from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.
What is your favorite hiking trail?
I grew up in the South Bay, so Almaden Quicksilver County Park is one of my favorites. I have lots of memories going on family hikes there. On a clear day, you can see all the way to San Francisco!
What’s your favorite urban spot?
Currently, my favorite urban spot is Ina Coolbrith Park in San Francisco. It has an amazing panoramic view of the East Bay, the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Angel Island. I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago while on a walk and it has become my favorite place for late-night city vistas.
What was your favorite book you’ve read lately?
I really enjoy nonfiction books and memoirs. Two I’ve read recently are “Without You, There Is No Us” by Suki Kim and “Swimming to Freedom” by Kent Wong. I recommend both of them!
