Stormwater Treatment

In accordance with the national mandate, PGAdesign is working to reverse the conventional practice of directing stormwater into drains that ultimately carry pollution into natural bodies of water. Our design strategies help remove pollutants from stormwater before it enters the system. The design for this project included biofiltration areas beside the sidewalks, treating run-off from the street as well as the roofs above. Where this method isn’t possible, raised biofiltration planters capture water for treatment before it is released into the stormdrain system.
