Galindo House and Garden
Location: Concord
Size: 2 acres
Partners: Page & Turnbull for the City of Concord
The Galindo House and Gardens comprise the last remnants of Rancho del Diablo, which once encompassed nearly 18,000 acres in Contra Costa County. PGAdesign collaborated with the community and an architectural firm to establish priorities for preserving and restoring this historic farmhouse and grounds, honoring one of the founding families of Concord. In addition to contributing to the Master Plan, PGAdesign identified heritage trees consistent with the era of significance, 1875 to 1912. PGAdesign established landscape design guidelines for the creation of a public park and developed phased construction documents for the project.
