OUSD Kaiser Elementary School

PGAdesign collaborated with Gelfand Partners to create the Kaiser Early Childhood Outdoor Learning Environment at OUSD’s Kaiser Elementary. Their work transformed a barren asphalt hillside schoolyard into a tiered landscape featuring natural log play elements and structures that encourage children to jump and climb. The new landscape introduces abundant green (both natural vegetation and artificial turf) and shade.
The project required California’s Division of State Architect documentation, a process with which PGAdesign is familiar and has completed for dozens of projects.
