San Leandro Tech Campus

Location: San Leandro

Project Type:

Size: 7.5 acres

Partners: Westlake Urban with RMW Architecture & Interiors.

The 7.5-acre development on the site is being headed by Westlake Urban and is a multi-phase project that will provide three office buildings, a parking structure, housing, and pedestrian connections to the adjacent San Leandro BART station. This includes construction of a much needed connecting section of the Bay Trail which currently is impacted by the BART station parking lot.

Once home to the Del Monte canning factory this parcel which is bound by two railway lines stood vacant for many years. The project’s first tenant is local company OSIsoft and is part of local technologist Patrick Kennedy’s “Lit SL” super fast fiber optic broadband loop for the City.

A 55-foot tall steel mesh statue named “Truth is Beauty” by artist Marco Cochrane and created originally for Burning Man is the focal point for the project.
