A groundbreaking celebration for Paseo Estero and Vista Estero celebrated the two mixed-use housing complexes being constructed in the Brooklyn Basin area of Oakland just south of Jack London Square. After 18 years of effort, activists and nonprofit developer MidPen Housing has begun construction on the 465 subsidized apartments for low- and very low-income families and senior citizens. PGAdesign is the landscape architect and joins the team lead by Hkit Architects.
