Alameda LID Parking Lot

Alameda County hired PGAdesign to transform a standard asphalt parking lot into a demonstration site for green infrastructure. The lushly planted, human-centered space incorporates stormwater plantings, permeable pavements, and educational signage to illustrate strategies for Low Impact Development for contractors, maintenance staff and the general public. Alameda LID Parking Lot demonstrate’s PGAdesign’s ability to seamlessly integrate function and aesthetics, even in the most challenging urban conditions.
