PGAdesign founder Chris Pattillo recognized for legacy

PGAdesign’s founder, Chris Pattillo, has been recognized by ASLA’s The Field for her active position in strengthening the Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS) program, including starting the first annual HALS Challenge. After the National Park Service’s created the HALS program in 2000, Chris sought to bring attention and enthusiasm to the HALS program through the Challenge. The first Challenge took place in 2010, initiating a tradition of selecting a theme each year for the submitted entries. Though now retired, Chris remains stalwart in her passion for historic landscapes; this year, she is submitting an entry in response to the Challenge theme “Olmsted Landscapes.”
