PGAdesign wins 2023 California Preservation Award

PGAdesign was awarded a 2023 California Preservation Foundation Award for the Alma Site project! The California Preservation awards highlight the best of historic preservation in the state. We are very excited that the work of our entire team has been recognized!

The Alma College site is located within a natural preserve near Los Gatos. This designed landscape illuminates important periods in California’s development: traces of the Indigenous Tamien people who lived on the land for millennia, the rural estate of the late 19^th century, and the theological seminary established by the Jesuit Sacred Heart Novitiate in the 20^th century. Our work preserves this palimpsest of history while providing public access to the area’s natural resources.
