What do you do at PGAdesign?

I am PGAdesign’s primary staffer for irrigation design and consulting. I design and document irrigation systems for all of PGAdesign’s projects, as well as for other offices that come to PGAdesign for irrigation expertise.

Where did you go to school?

My Bachelor of Science in Landscape Irrigation is from Cal Poly Pomona.

What do you like about the firm?

PGAdesign’s variety of clients and projects provides me with an array of challenges, and the opportunity to work with many different, specialized professionals.

What do you enjoy doing outside the office?

I enjoy volunteering at the Western Railway Museum, giving families rides on our historic streetcars and electric interurban trains.

What’s your favorite urban spot?

Oakland’s Lake Merritt. Oakland has a lot of things that make it unique and special, but Lake Merritt is at the top of that list for me.

Are there any landscape spaces you feel deserve more attention?

Schools. A lot of progress has been made in the design of outdoor recreational and social spaces for schools, but I feel more needs to happen to bring about truly inspiring educational landscapes.
