PGAdesign participated in the renovation of Westlake Christian Terrace West, a 200-apartment highrise in Oakland’s Uptown neighborhood. Originally built in 1976, it offers affordable senior housing in the area. The building is sited on approximately one acre, close to conveniences and amenities on nearby Broadway.
PGAdesign worked on the on-grade exterior renovations to expand the program and usability of the front and back terraces and address the safety and security needs of residents. Notable elements include flexible gathering areas, a walking loop, an outdoor fitness circuit, and vegetable gardens.
