Casa Arabella is a 94-unit affordable transit-oriented development in Oakland’s Fruitvale District. Developed in partnership with the East Bay Asian Local Development Commission and The Unity Council, Casa Arabella prioritizes families and formerly homeless veterans of the US military. It forms part of the Fruitvale Transit Village, and is the first BART transit-oriented-development conversion project in the Bay Area. Within the site, PGAdesign designed outdoor courtyards that include a community garden and a play area accommodating children of all ages.
